Bus fares at Singapore Chinese Girls' Primary School

These are the maximum monthly fares Revolving Transport Pte Ltd (Ms Jeccy) may charge at Singapore Chinese Girls' Primary School. What you actually pay depends on your distance, the route and the size of bus, so ask for a quote for your address.

DistanceBus sizeOne wayTwo way
Up to 2kmUp to 15-seater$170$190
Up to 2km>15-seater$160$180
>2 to 4kmUp to 15-seater$200$220
>2 to 4km>15-seater$180$200
>4 to 6kmUp to 15-seater$230$250
>4 to 6km>15-seater$200$220

Per month. Contract period Bus fare effective 1 Jan 2026.

Other charges:Bus Services for after school activities (per trip, all bus sizes): Up to 2km $8, >2-4km $9, >4-6km $10. UNUSUAL - flag for review: a 'Notice of School Bus Fare Review and Temporary Surcharge Adjustment' PDF on the same site states a temporary surcharge of 13% applies 'effective from June onwards' (against the base fares above), reviewed every 2 months, per operator Edmund Lee (Director). A separate 'SCGS 2026 Price List - Bus Fares applicable from JULY to August 2026 (increase 13%)' PDF on the site shows the base fares above plus the 13% surcharge already applied, e.g. Up to 15-seater/Up to 2km becomes $192.10 one-way / $214.70 two-way (from base $170/$190); >15-seater/Up to 2km becomes $180.80/$203.40 (from $160/$180). As of the check date (26 Jul 2026) this surcharged rate is the one actually in effect, but it is explicitly temporary and reviewed bi-monthly, so the base 1 Jan 2026 fare is recorded as the 'bands' above with the surcharge context here rather than baking a moving figure into the primary table.

On MOE's Financial Assistance Scheme, 70% of the monthly bus fare is covered from January 2026, or $21 a month if your child takes public transport instead, according to MOE. How to apply for FAS.

Routes and what to confirm

Routes
Set by the operator. Ask whether your address is covered and where the pickup and drop-off points are
School holidays
Usually no service on school holidays. Confirm with the operator if your child attends student care in the holidays
Months billed
Nine, not twelve. Under MOE's standard bus contract June, November and December are not billed, and the bus still runs on school days
To cancel
At least two months' notice in writing. Operators often ask for two months' fees instead of notice
Distance
Operators are contractually required to serve pupils within 4km of the school. Beyond that, ask
Timing
The contract fixes the latest arrival at school, not the time the bus reaches your block

Bus arrangements can change when the school's bus agreement is renewed, so re-confirm the route and fare each year even if nothing seems different. Terms that do not vary between schools, including LTA's seating and attendant rules.

Questions to ask the operator

  • Does your route cover our address, and where are the pickup and drop-off points?
  • What is the fare for our address, and are there registration or deposit charges?
  • What are the morning pickup and afternoon drop-off times?
  • Is there a waiting list for our route?
  • Do you run during the school holidays?
  • Can we change the pickup or drop-off stop during the year?
  • Who do we contact on the day if the bus is late?
  • What is the notice period to withdraw?

The Singapore Chinese Girls' Primary School school page has ballot history and school details and the Singapore Chinese Girls' Primary School student care page has the after-school care operator, fee and hours. The school bus directory lists every school's operator.
